Italian Sausage Stuffed Bell Peppers -Two-
Additional Items Needed:
- 1 Lb. Italian Sausage (loose bulk sausage)
- 1/2 Cup Bread Crumbs
- 1/3 Cup Parmesan Cheese (grated)
- 2 Garlic cloves, chopped
- 1 Large Egg
- 2 Cups Tomato Sauce
- 2 Green Bell Peppers
- Salt and Pepper to taste
- Microwave-Safe Plate
- Plastic Wrap
Mix sausage together with the egg, bread crumbs, cheese, garlic, salt and pepper.
Cut the top off of the peppers and remove the seeds, trim the bottoms of the bell peppers so that they stand upright.
Stuff each pepper with half of the the sausage mix.
Place stuffed peppers on microwave-safe dish.
Cover with plastic wrap.
Place in microwave. Enter code. Press start.
When prompted by the microwave to "Follow package instructions", remove dish from microwave.
Pour sauce over the peppers.
Cover dish and return to microwave.
Press Start button.
Caution! The dish will be hot.
Use a thermometer to confirm that microwave foods have cooked to safe temperatures of greater than 165º F
