Candied Yams *Vegetarian*

Candied Yams *Vegetarian*


  • 3 Large Yams, peeled & cut into 1 cubes
  • ½ Cup Butter or Margerine
  • ½ Cup Brown Sugar
  • 1/4 Cup Pecans (optional)
  • 1 Tsp. Cinnamon
  • ½ Tsp. Salt
  • 6 Oz. Marshmallow Creme

Additional Items Needed:
  • 8X8 Microwave-Safe Baking Dish
  • Plastic Wrap


In the baking dish add the cubed yams. Top the yams with slivers of butter

Then add pecans (optional), brown sugar, cinnamon & salt.

Cover with plastic wrap.

When prompted to "Follow Package Instructions", remove plastic wrap.

Top with an even layer of marshmallow creme.

Return to microwave uncovered.

Serves: 6
Caution! The dish will be hot.

For the marshmallow creme we used Kraft: Jet-Puffed Marshmallow Creme which does not contain gelatin.
