Baked Apple *Vegetarian*

Ingredients:

  • 1 Large Apple, washed
  • 1 Tbsp. Brown Sugar
  • 2 Tbsp Chopped Nuts
  • 2 Tbsp. Raisins
  • 1/4 Slice of Bread (crust removed), cubed
  • 1 Tbsp. Maple Syrup
  • 1 Tbsp. Butter
  • 1/4 Tsp. Cinnamon
  • Pinch of Salt


Additional Items Needed:
  • Medium Microwave-Safe Bowl
  • Small Mixing Bowl
  • Microwave-Safe Cover

Before:
Slice the top off the apple.

Use a spoon to scoop out the core and seeds, hollow out most of the apple.

In the mixing bowl mix thoroughly together the brown sugar, nuts, bread, raisins, cinnamon, salt and maple syrup.

Place the apple in the microwave-safe bowl & stuff the mixture into the apple filling the hole.

Top the apple with the butter.

Cover with the microwave-safe cover.


Serves: 1
Notes:
Caution! The dish will be hot.

The chopped nuts we used was a mixture of walnuts & pecans.

The apples used were red delicious.
